Ron and Mary Helms establish Rho to provide biostatistical and data management services for clinical research.
Rho implements RhoDMS, its proprietary clinical data management system designed to ensure quality at each step of the data management process.
Rho brings in renowned research scientists, Herman Mitchell, Ph.D., and Sharyne Donfield, Ph.D., and establishes Rho Federal Systems Division.
Rho opens an office in Newton, Massachusetts, near the Boston metro area. The opening gives Rho two offices in areas renowned for clinical research and biotechnology industries.
Rho initiates work on its first FDA submission, beginning its record of 100% acceptance for review by FDA.
Rho begins the first adaptive design trial on two types of staph infections in premature babies. Our early adoption of adaptive design and our statistical expertise positioned Rho as an industry leader with a world-class biostatistical group.
Rho initiates work on its first international trial. The Hemophilia Inhibitor Genetics Study is a collaboration among scientists from academia, industry, and government dedicated to increasing the understanding of factors that regulate development of immune intolerance.
Rho begins implementing CDISC standards in submission deliverables. Our early work with the CDISC standards has allowed us to develop industry-leading, CDISC-compliant tools, providing greater efficiencies to our clients.
With the number of employees more than doubling since 2001, Rho relocates to a facility that will accommodate continued and expected growth. Remaining in Chapel Hill, Rho moves to Quadrangle Park, a class A commercial office space.
Rho strengthens its Leadership Team with the addition of Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Operations, and Vice President of Rho Federal Systems Division.
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases awards Rho a 6-year contract to provide clinical research services for two large-scale projects. Rho provides biostatistical, data management, and safety services for the Immune Tolerance Network (ITN) and the Asthma and Allergic Diseases Cooperative Research Centers (AADCRC).
Rho unveils a new logo and launches a new web site in celebration of 25 years of successful business.
Rho further develops our Medical Monitoring and Clinical Operations with the addition of a Medical Director. This allows Rho to expand the services that we can provide to our customers.
Rho joins Medidata's ASPire to Win® channel partner program. Our partnership with Medidata allows us to provide our customers with Medidata Rave®, an EDC solution that matches the high standards we set for the services we provide.
On October 1, 2011, Rho celebrated another milestone as Laura Helms Reece and Russ Helms were named CEOs. Under their leadership, Rho is poised to continue its long-standing commitment to improving health, extending life, and enhancing the quality of life via corporate and research excellence. Ron and Mary Helms will continue to provide strategic guidance and vision to Rho and will retain their positions on the Board of Directors and Leadership Team.
In 2012, Rho was recognized by Subaru, the Triangle Business Journal, and Carolina Parent magazine as an outstanding place to work. In March, Subaru chose Rho as a stop on their Work Play Love Tour, which honors companies with a commitment to a balance between work and play. In September, the Triangle Business Journal named Rho to their prestigious Best Places to Work list for 2012. And for the ninth year in a row, Rho received the North Carolina Family Friendly award from Carolina Parent.
