Rho people take pride in being part of a company that helps improve health and enhance quality of life. We share our success with the communities in which we live, and we're grateful to do what we can to be part of these communities.
Rho is proud to support the March of Dimes in their dedication to improving the health of babies. This mission is near and dear to the hearts of many Rho employees. As five-time members of the March of Dimes' Gold Circle of Champions, we do our part by hosting an annual fundraiser and BBQ lunch for employees, in which Rho matches all contributions. Some popular attractions include raffles and a water balloon toss in which employees can buy water balloons to throw at volunteering members of senior management. A majority of employees attend the lunch, and many of them have volunteered for the March of Dimes or walked in WalkAmerica events during the past decade.
Russ Helms and Laura Helms Reece, Rho's CEOs, have been proud to represent Rho in Habitat for Humanity's Annual CEO Build. Each year a group of Triangle leaders donate a day of their time to help build affordable housing for low-income families. Habitat for Humanity has built more than 1,000 homes in the greater
Triangle area. Habitat’s work changes the lives of the individual families who
buy Habitat homes, the neighborhoods in which Habitat builds, and the
communities in which we all live.
Rho is a proud supporter of Compass Center for Women and Families. In 2012, Rho supported the annual Art Show and Fundraiser, Through Women’s Eyes, By Women’s Hands. This event helped raise $63,000 in funds to help individuals and families prevent and end domestic violence and become self-sufficient. Compass Center for Women and Families provides domestic violence crisis services, career and financial education, assistance with legal resources, and adolescent empowerment programs.

"It's good knowing your employers care that much about their community and will provide the opportunity for their employees to become easily involved."–Kate York, Study Coordinator
At Rho, supporting and participating in programs that enhance and strengthen our communities, whether it's where we live or where we work, is fundamental to our core values. Our founders' charitable passion for community service has inspired an overwhelming outpouring of volunteerism from our employees. Many of our charitable efforts have been the result of employee feedback and suggestions, and we encourage our employees to organize drives to collect food and toys during the holiday season. The tremendous success of these endeavors is often visible throughout our halls as food and toys overflow from bins. Our commitment to community service is just one more way that Rho helps communities thrive and enriches lives.
