Initiation
During project initiation, Rho partners with our clients to understand the science and determine the endpoints of the project. We identify stakeholders and review the scope of work. The foundation is laid, and we are ready to start planning the project.
Planning
The second part of the project management process is planning. Considering the complexity of each clinical research project, the management of many resources requires an insightful plan to ensure the work meets our client's needs. The plan must also be flexible to accommodate changes likely to occur in such a complex project. During this phase, the plan is shaped through strategic and tactical discussions with all stakeholders. These discussions help to create timelines, plan resources, and determine best practices to complete the work efficiently.
Execution
Over the course of this phase, we hold team meetings to enhance team performance and review study status, we manage outside vendors and contractors, and we provide high-quality project deliverables. Our Project Managers drive the execution process by continually communicating with all stakeholders and facilitating decision making.
Controlling
As the project advances, the controlling phase ensures that a project doesn't travel off its intended path to completion. While the plan is being executed, we measure, monitor, and communicate project performance in terms of scope, cost, and quality. We keep efforts focused and we raise awareness when decisions need to be made.
Closure
The project work is completed, and we ensure that the client's needs have been met with all deliverables. Documentation produced throughout the project is compiled and archived. All stakeholders reflect on the lessons that were learned throughout the course of the project, and best practices are carried forward. Plans are created to address key learnings.
Our Project Managers' experience helps them drive project quality
Our project management staff is highly trained in formal project management frameworks and has strong industry experience. Our backgrounds include clinical monitoring, clinical site coordination, central lab management, drug development and manufacturing, as well as pharmaceutical management. Many of our Project Managers have industry certifications including Regulatory Affairs Certifications (RAC) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications. Our backgrounds and expertise provide an intimate understanding of the value of preparation, planning, and documentation in the competitive, fast-paced, evolving clinical research industry. Our Project Managers' in-depth experience enables them to understand the factors that can affect timing, budget, or scope of the project. They collaborate with functional area leads to ensure positive outcomes for the project and for our customers.
