Rho employs a full-time staff of skilled software developers to create and maintain a wide variety of web sites, tools, and applications to facilitate and enhance clinical operations for Rho personnel and our external clients.

The Software Development department comprises a group of professional engineers and writers who are experts in software design and web development, and in the verification process that ensures application compliance with 21-CFR 11 as needed.

Rho systems developed and maintained by the Software Development group include:

• Rho Data Management System (DMS): A SAS-based system that is used to organize, facilitate, and control the collection, transmission, validation, storage and retrieval of information required for clinical trials and other similar research projects. This flexible system is customizable to accommodate the needs of individual sponsors and projects, and provides independent double-entry with third-party refereeing of keying discrepancies. The DMS also provides automatic query generation from pre-specified validation rules and a computer-generated audit trail of changes to the master database.
• Rho RAND ™: An easily configurable system that allows users to enroll patients, make treatment assignments according to varying randomization schemes, and receive timely reports regarding the trial status via Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Web browser interfaces.
• Rho EDC ™: An online electronic data capture system that facilitates the collection, organization, review, validation, storage, and retrieval of information required for clinical trials and other similar research projects in accordance with federal regulations and industry standards.
