Stephanie Wellford, Senior Project Manager at Rho, has over 10 years of experience conducting multi-center observational, mechanistic, Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials.  She has performed numerous roles in clinical trial operations and management, including onsite clinical monitor, clinical team lead, and project lead.  Her hybrid experience in project management and clinical operations provides a distinctive perspective to clients.  Ms. Wellford serves as the project lead for a BARDA-sponsored study to investigate the safety and immunogenicity of anthrax vaccine in individuals over 65.  She also serves as the project management functional area lead of the Asthma and Allergic Diseases Group for the NIAID Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Transplantation: Statistical and Clinical Coordinating Center (SACCC), and leads two trials within the Inner-City Asthma Consortium.  Most recently, Ms. Wellford initiated and continues to lead the NIH-funded Human Epidemiology and Response to SARS-CoV-2 (HEROS) study, to help determine the rate of novel coronavirus infection in children and their family members in the United States.  Ms. Wellford received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has co-authored and presented numerous posters at SCT and SoCRA annual conferences.
