Alena Hammond brings more than 25 years of clinical research experience and a proven track record of scaling and optimizing global clinical operations. She has led large, international teams and managed the operational delivery of more than 500 active clinical trials across top 40 pharmaceutical companies and emerging biotechs. Her expertise includes global project delivery, site readiness, clinical operations, and partnership solutions spanning a wide range of therapeutic areas.

Ms. Hammond is known for elevating functions and therapeutic areas to meet top-performing industry benchmarks, combining her strategic clarity and disciplined execution to maximize performance, financial outcomes, and employee engagement. At Rho, she focuses on turning vision into scalable systems—guiding teams and infrastructure to support growth, accelerate timelines, and deliver consistent results for sponsors. Her leadership blends global insight and operational precision, all with a forward-looking eye.

An alumna of the Capstone College of Nursing at the University of Alabama, Ms. Hammond was selected for the LabCorp WIN Leadership Program in 2018 and is a long-time advocate for women in leadership. She is also a founding member of the Lily Chapter of the National Charity League.
