RhoWorld, Inc. Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Last reviewed on: October 31, 2025

The UK Modern Slavery Act requires certain companies operating in the United Kingdom to publish a Slavery and Human Trafficking statement and to publicly state what it has done to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply chain. This statement constitutes RhoWorld, Inc.’s, (hereinafter “Rho”) a North Carolina, USA, corporation (“Rho”), and the ultimate parent company to RhoWorld UK Ltd., statement for all operations.

Rho does not tolerate human trafficking, child labor, or modern slavery of any kind in any of Rho’s operations. This extends to the work done by vendors on our behalf. Rho’s employment practices and training requirements are designed to recognize and eliminate any forced labor or modern slavery in its operations. These practices are not tolerated in the recruitment of Rho employees or clinical trial participants, or in the Rho supply chain.

Rho as a global contract research organization provides clinical trial services, research and other services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. Rho is not a supplier of goods and materials and as such considers the risk of slavery or human trafficking in its supply chain or business to be low. Clinical research is a highly regulated business sector that is subject to periodic compliance audits by regulatory authorities and its client base, the sponsors of clinical research. Rho also performs its own audits for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

In addition to compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Rho adheres to all local laws regarding the enrollment of clinical participants who may be at a higher risk of coercion, such as children and prisoners.

Rho has Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which govern its practice in qualifying and hiring new vendors. As part of the onboarding, qualification and approval process for hiring new vendors, Rho assesses vendor risks and performs qualification assessments and credentialing to mitigate risks.

Rho will not contract with a vendor that has not been assessed, qualified and approved for providing services. Additionally, all vendors are subject to performance reviews during the terms of the contracts with Rho, and subject to re-qualification every two years. These SOPs mitigate the risk of Rho working with any companies that are involved in human trafficking or slavery. Rho is fully committed to complying with all applicable laws affecting its business and operations, including the UK Modern Slavery Act.
