Associate Director, Data Management

With over 23 years of data-handling experience, Elizabeth Kelchner has spent the past 19 years with Rho’s clinical data management team. As a Principal Clinical Data Manager, Ms. Kelchner provides leadership and oversight for all data management deliverables and is responsible for the design of the electronic data capture system, database cleaning, and overall flow management of clinical data for studies across a wide range of therapeutic areas.

Collaborating on over 30 analgesic studies during her tenure at Rho, Ms. Kelchner’s experience is comprised of global and regional trials from Phase 1 through 4. Her study experience includes indications ranging from chronic pain and osteoarthritis to acute dental and post-surgical pain.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Kelchner has gained expert knowledge in pain scale data capture and considerations, and with the integration of a variety of data types and sources. This expertise is frequently called upon during the study design phase, where her knowledge of best-practices in the analgesic space, as well as general data stewardship, provide extreme value at this critical stage.

In addition to her role as a data manager, Ms. Kelchner is a member of Rho’s CDASH committee and thrives in her natural role of mentor to junior data managers.

This is what drives Elizabeth:

“I’m compelled by the incredible risk and reward in the analgesic space. Current therapies assist people in leading normal lives but do allow the opportunity for abuse. Advancing analgesic therapy can provide the possibility of benefitting an incredibly wide range of people, including those suffering from chronic pain in my home state of West Virginia, which has been hit hard by the opioid crisis.”
