Four scientific principles. One unifying concept. The Cohesion Effect experience.
SCOPE Summit is a place where innovation thrives. Thousands of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors from around the world, all with the same goal: To move clinical research forward. However, this doesn’t happen in isolation—it takes connection. All the variables must come together to drive new treatments, improve outcomes, and advance scientific knowledge.
We call it the Cohesion Effect, and it’s the heart of who we are and what we do at Rho. Because the truth is, we love science just like you, and we get excited about solving complex problems together. Our belief is when partnership, trust, and curiosity are all working in sync, that’s when breakthroughs happen.
So this year at SCOPE, rather than bringing one more pitch to the noise, we brought something different: The Cohesion Museum. Four hands-on stations rooted in science and designed to demonstrate how Rho doesn’t just navigate challenges—we thrive in them through meaningful collaboration.
The Molecular Docking Phenomenon
In molecular biology, docking is the binding of two molecules that occurs when their shape, charge, and timing are all aligned. But even the tiniest mismatch can halt a reaction. To replicate this scenario, we used a timed precision puzzle to test how quickly and accurately attendees could create the perfect fit under pressure. Update: It’s harder than you think.
Similarly, Rho’s Biometrics team achieves precision with data, working efficiently without compromising integrity. For our biostatisticians, programmers, and data managers, it’s more than a numbers game—it’s the key to better outcomes.
The Complexity Constant
In complex systems, many independent parts move, adapt, and react. Through feedback and structure, they start to form predictable patterns. This highlights how, when well-managed, variability is not necessarily a flaw—it can be fuel for resilience. In The Cohesion Museum, a Plinko-style game experience illustrated how structure and guardrails guide many paths toward positive outcomes, even if it’s not without some complexity along the way.
Rho’s Clinical Delivery team doesn’t turn away from variability, but plans for it. We organize all the independent elements of a trial into one cohesive system, built to absorb the shocks while maintaining forward progress to get you where you want to go.
The Spectroscopy Solution
Spectroscopy uses light to reveal a material’s unique signature, so you can see what’s otherwise hidden. At our booth, glasses with special lenses gave people the superpower to see what others might overlook. Through these specs, hidden Rho logos appeared and uncovered what was invisible to the naked eye. Spoiler: We’re at every stage of the trial, maintaining quality throughout.
That’s how we view Quality Assurance (QA). When it’s built in from the start, our teams can “see” challenges before they become setbacks. Rho’s QA team monitors much more than just compliance, embedding quality across functions to ensure patients are safe, data is reliable, and decisions reflect our commitment to scientific rigor.
The Signal Detection Constant
In neuroscience, signal detection distinguishes meaningful information from background noise. It’s science’s way of finding clarity in complexity. In The Cohesion Museum, special scratch-off cards contained various paths, representing regulatory markers—and revealing signals tied to different stages. Regulatory excellence is about identifying what matters at the right moment, navigating requirements with precision and control.
Cohesion lets us not only see the signals but know how to act on them. As people scratched their way through plausible regulatory routes, they could see what matters at each stage. That’s the core of what Rho’s regulatory teams do. They understand what’s expected and prioritize to maintain momentum and maximize your chance of approval.
The Cohesion Continuum Conclusion
The Cohesion Museum is a hands-on way to translate what makes Rho, Rho.
Whether it’s our teams in biometrics, clinical delivery, quality assurance, or regulatory, we operate with cohesion in mind. It’s not just a metaphor for us, but how we actually deliver results. It informs how we think, collaborate, and help our partners run trials with confidence. Because the Cohesion Effect includes you, too: We’re in this with you from start to finish.
If we missed you at SCOPE, we’d still love to show you how this works in action. Explore how we deliver cohesion across functions and connect with us today.
Where will the Cohesion Museum be next? Stay tuned.
